[20060728] How to make YouTube your Tube, or how to watch those flash movies w/o flash (Updated)
Are people sending you all those fancy youtube links, but you don't have a decent operating system (*cough*) to watch them? TGEN on IRCnet's #NetBSD brings us the solution: Turn them into something that mplayer can play in three easy steps:
  1. Paste your YouTube URL into keepvid.com
  2. Follow the instructions and save the file as .flv (Flash Video)
  3. Use mplayer to play the .flv file

Update: Meorge Michaelson writes me that there's another site that works with YouTube and Google - just save the .flv file and run mplayer on it.
