[20050203] Zaptel driver, to run Asterisk VoIP'n'stuff
Asterisk is a Open Source (GPL) PBX (telephony) system that allows doing analog and digital (ISDN, VoIP) calls, provides voicemail services with directory, call conferencing, interactive voice response and call queuing. It has support for three-way calling, caller ID services, ADSI, SIP and H.323 (as both client and gateway. To use it efficiently, hardware cards to access hardware lines like the boards from Didium exist, and Jeff Rizzo is working on the "zaptel" driver for NetBSD for these boards. Check out his posting to current-users@ (yeah, I'm a bit behind with mail :).
