[20050510] NetBSD Documentation: How to build a remote user access VPN
After Emmanuel Dreyfus has worked hard to bring NAT-T and ipsec-tool based racoon to NetBSD, he has now also documented building a IPsec-based RAS/VPN-server with NetBSD. Definitely an interesting need, I hope the pullups of the code for this into the netbsd-3 branch will be done when I find time to upgrade a machine (or one of my qemu VMs :) to NetBSD 3.0_BETA.

[20050226] Replace your Cisco 3000 VPN concentrator with NetBSD
Emmanuel Dreyfus has been working on integrating NAT Traversal and replaced the KAME based racoon with the feature-enhanced "ipsec-tools" version in NetBSD. Thanks to this, NetBSD can now be setup to replace Cisco 3000 VPN concentrators, while Cisco VPN clients can still be used, talking to NetBSD instead.

There are many more changes that come with the ipsec-tools, including dead peer detection, privilege separation, IKE mode config, IKE and ESP fragmentation, configurable path to certificate authority, and hook scripts. See Emmanuel's mail for a more complete list!

[20040930] Using NetBSD as Cisco-compatible VPN Server
Emmanuel Dreyfus has been working on getting NAT-T server support into NetBSD, which makes it possible to setup NetBSD to act as Cisco-compatible VPN server, to which you can connect to either using the Cisco VPN client, or (probably :) vpnc or racoon. See Emmanuel request for comments!
