[20090531] On 3.0-EOL
With the new NetBSD release, maintenance for the next-to-last release is stopped. I.e. with NetBSD 5.0 out the door, no more fixes are applied to the NetBSD 3.0 release branch

This was announced explicitly on the NetBSD blog and on the NetBSD-Announce list, and I'd like to point out one small fact here: With 3.0 out in Dec 2005, 4.0 out in Dec 2007 and 5.0 out in Apr 2009. In summary, this gives NetBSD 3.0 about three and a half years of support after its release! Not too bad for a volunteer effort. :-)
